Upgraded video card and learned about FSR, Fluid Motion Flames, Frame Generation and now how to enable Rebar in bios of PCs with AMD 6000 series GPUs.

I have an ASROCK B450M Pro4 V2 mobo. It's an older mobo. I upgraded from

Ryzen 5 2600x to 5600x 2x8 2667 to 2x16 3200 cl16 +OC GTX1660TI to ASROCK RX6750XT Challenger Pro

I was learning about FSR and Fluid Motion Frames, and Frame Generation etc. when I came across a video for Rebar.

In my AMD Adrenaline Software under the Smart Technolgy Tab there is a setting for Smart Access Memory that was grayed out as unavailable.

I watched this video on enabling Rebar/ResizeableBar (In AMD it's called Smart Access Memory).

Because my mobo was older I had to

  1. Disable CSM support. *** 1st had to ensure that all MBR partitions were converted to GPT prior to disabling or pc will be not Bootable. Luckily they were because windows 11 was installed.

Most people will only need to do 2&3

2) Enable above 4g decoding

3) Enable Rebar (May be called Smart Access Memory or SAM)

Then rebooted p.c. and it magically was no longer grayed out and is now selectable. So it is now enabled.

Hope someone finds this useful.
